Palo Duro Canyon

Soak up the 250 days of Canyon’s annual sunshine at the Palo Duro Canyon State Park, the 2nd largest canyon in the country. Located east of Canyon city limits, this majestic park boasts 60 miles of ravine with 800 foot cliffs, 30 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails, camping, bird watching and zip lining

Pioneer Amphitheatre

In the summer months, catch the family-friendly musical “Texas” at the Pioneer Amphitheatre. Enjoy wildlife watching, nature trails and picnicking at the Buffalo Lake Wildlife Refuge or grab your rod & reel and head down to McSpadden Lake Dam to fish, while marveling at the Panhandle Sunset. Four legged friends are also welcome at the Dog Parks at Southeast Canyon Park, just across the lake
